Every hotel is different, and therefore 'one size fits all' sales training no longer works. Our workshops and tools are designed for your hotel, your goals, your guests, and the world you live in.

When we first meet, we like to find out more about your products and pricing, your team and your existing upsell program. Usually we ask a lot of questions and let you do most of the talking, so that we can prepare a tailored proposal and partnership model for you.

The support we provide and the frequency of our follow up really depend on your requirements.

Old ways won't always open new doors. Change is essential, if you want your upsell program to be successful in the long-term. We have many years of experience in change management and can support and guide you and your team towards lasting growth.

Our consultancy services include touchpoint analysis to identify additional sales opportunities, audits of internal procedures to increase availability, the introduction of new motivational tools, adjustments to the existing incentive scheme, continuous reviews of products and pricing, the implementation of action plans and regular follow up.

But we won't change everything - we establish what is going well, build on the existing success, and gradually introduce ideas for further improvement. It's all about the right balance!

We believe in a personalised approach. You will have one designated consultant throughout all stages of the partnership year.

Your guest come first. We're flexible and aware of the needs of your operation. We aim to find the perfect timing for scheduling our programs, and do not impose cancellation fees.  

In the current climate cost can be the deciding factor - regardless of the projected incremental revenue. Our programs are affordable and our daily rates competitive.

We don't want to overload you with data, or take you and your team out of the operation for longer than necessary. Which is why we've developed simplified reports, streamlined activities, and effective meetings.

As a result of everyone’s experiences over the last couple of years, many new travel trends have emerged, and travellers’ expectations have changed significantly.

In our Sales Workshops, your team will find out more about the latest travel trends and ways of turning them into upsell and cross-sell opportunities. They will learn how to build a genuine connection with new guest types, asking the right questions, and giving personalised recommendations. 

Keeping up with the latest trends and tailoring your offer to the specific requirements of each guest will result in the right balance between generating revenue and enhancing their experience.

Since setting up The Right Balance in 2017, we’ve been training many wonderful hotels and their various departments across Europe. They are either part of renowned international chains, or forward-thinking independent hotels. They range from 3 to 5 stars, the smallest has 60 rooms, the largest over a thousand. 

This proves again that size doesn’t matter. With the right support and tailored training solutions all hotels can perform well in upselling.
