Meet us at the Côte d'Azur!

Invest in your team, and they will invest in you. In times of staff shortages, it has become more vital than ever for hotels to recognise their talents, support their growth, invest in their personal & professional development, and celebrate success.

We are proud to be one the sponsors of this year’s AICR Experience at Le Meridien Nice. Members, finalists and their supporters from all over the world will gather  to mark the 60th anniversary of the Amicale and explore the beautiful Côte d'Azur.

We look forward to meeting everyone, presenting our sales training programs during the Sponsors Showcase, attending the Gala Dinner at Hotel Le Negresco, and finding out who will be crowned the 2024 AICR World’s Best Receptionist.

We are proud sponsors of the AICR UK

The AICR has grown to become an exciting, interactive network for Front Office Management at all levels. Especially in these more challenging times, the Amicale offers invaluable opportunities to network and give each other support and advice.

Meetings take place throughout the year – either at hotels or online – and provide a wide range of opportunities to get together, see other hotels to improve market knowledge, and share experiences over a glass of wine.

The AICR always explores new ways of attracting more young people into the industry and helps talent move forward in their careers. A highlight in our annual calendar is the ‘Receptionist Of The Year’ competition.

We have built great friendships with the AICR committee and their members, and proudly continue our sponsorship.

SUP paddling on the Danube for a fantastic cause

Our SUPer Woman Vanja Melnik and her SUPer HEARoes Team have been paddling 180km on the River Danube in just 3 days. They continue to raise awareness about Cochlear Implants and their benefits for children and adults with profound hearing loss.

This cause is very close to Vanja’s heart. We’re very proud to support her and see our logo on their shirts. Keep paddling – it’s all about the right balance!

So far, they have already collected over 6,000€ for the OOKI Association. Please help them reach their goal of 10k by September.

Lunch4Ukraine & Auction4Ukraine

The Lunch4Ukraine will take place on 5th April at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London and only a few of the 100 tables are still available to book. All funds raised at the event will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee, which are operating in Ukraine and neighbouring countries meeting the needs of all refugees and displaced people.

Furthermore, the Auction4Ukraine has just been launched. This terrific online auction includes over fifty amazing donations – such as hotel suites, experiences, private dinners, paintings and even a rare letter signed by Winston Churchill.

A big thank you to Chris Horn and his fabulous team at Gold Key Media for getting us involved! The Right Balance is donating what we do best: 5 days of consulting & training, which can be utilised for any of our Hotel Sales Training Programs.

We’re making all our air travel CO2 neutral

Travel is an important part of our lives – it brings people together, strengthens business relationships, and allows us to consult and train your teams at your hotels. We believe that it is important to travel responsibly and lessen the impact on our planet.

That’s why we work with Compensaid, a non-profit organisation which lets us analyse and compensate the CO2 emission of all our flights from any airline.

We choose to support their two projects equally: replacing fossil kerosene with Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and sponsoring reforestation in Nicaragua. For us, that’s the right balance towards a more sustainable future.

Sharing knowledge and experience at university

Our Consultant Diego is a University Lecturer at Madrid’s Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. For the last 13 years he has regularly participated in the “Degree in Revenue Management Expert and Big Data” course.

This gives him the opportunity to develop his academic research further, and at the same time provide structured learning and development to both Revenue Managers and the next generation entering the hospitality industry. He is sharing his specific insights into The Fundamentals of Revenue Management and his experience in Upselling & Cross-Selling.

Becoming a University Lecturer has also allowed him to pursue his passion for teaching and discussing ideas and situations with students. Diego strives to bring innovative methods and new learning experiences to both his sales workshops and his university classroom.

What's in your backpack?

In partnership with Your Turn Solutions and the AICR UK, we are organising workshops dedicated to Hospitality Leaders going through a career transition.

The interactive sessions focus on your sense of worth, how it can be shaken up by job loss, and how you might find yourself questioning your identity in uncertain times.

Looking back will allow you to move forward, as you will realize how much you already have in our backpack of experience. This will help you to refine your CV and prepare for interviews, regain confidence, recognise your worth, and support team members or colleagues going through a transition.

The workshops will be hosted by the amazing Stefania Picheca, who is a certified EQ Coach and specialises in bringing Emotional Intelligence to the world of luxury hotels.
