Our Community

We are proud sponsors of the AICR UK

The AICR has grown to become an exciting, interactive network for Front Office Management at all levels. Especially in these more challenging times, the Amicale offers invaluable opportunities to network and give each other support and advice.

Meetings take place throughout the year – either at hotels or online – and provide a wide range of opportunities to get together, see other hotels to improve market knowledge, and share experiences over a glass of wine.

The AICR always explores new ways of attracting more young people into the industry and helps talent move forward in their careers. A highlight in our annual calendar is the ‘Receptionist Of The Year’ competition.

We have built great friendships with the AICR committee and their members, and proudly continue our sponsorship.

We’re making all our air travel CO2 neutral

Travel is an important part of our lives – it brings people together, strengthens business relationships, and allows us to consult and train your teams at your hotels. We believe that it is important to travel responsibly and lessen the impact on our planet.

That’s why we work with Compensaid, a non-profit organisation which lets us analyse and compensate the CO2 emission of all our flights from any airline.

We choose to support their two projects equally: replacing fossil kerosene with Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and sponsoring reforestation in Nicaragua. For us, that’s the right balance towards a more sustainable future.

Sharing knowledge and experience at university

Our Consultant Diego is a University Lecturer at Madrid’s Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. For the last 13 years he has regularly participated in the “Degree in Revenue Management Expert and Big Data” course.

This gives him the opportunity to develop his academic research further, and at the same time provide structured learning and development to both Revenue Managers and the next generation entering the hospitality industry. He is sharing his specific insights into The Fundamentals of Revenue Management and his experience in Upselling & Cross-Selling.

Becoming a University Lecturer has also allowed him to pursue his passion for teaching and discussing ideas and situations with students. Diego strives to bring innovative methods and new learning experiences to both his sales workshops and his university classroom.

What's in your backpack?

In partnership with Your Turn Solutions and the AICR UK, we are organising workshops dedicated to Hospitality Leaders going through a career transition.

The interactive sessions focus on your sense of worth, how it can be shaken up by job loss, and how you might find yourself questioning your identity in uncertain times.

Looking back will allow you to move forward, as you will realize how much you already have in our backpack of experience. This will help you to refine your CV and prepare for interviews, regain confidence, recognise your worth, and support team members or colleagues going through a transition.

The workshops will be hosted by the amazing Stefania Picheca, who is a certified EQ Coach and specialises in bringing Emotional Intelligence to the world of luxury hotels.
