Skills shortages and turnover rates have been some of the biggest challenges for many hotels - even before Covid and Brexit. Now that  business levels are picking up, hotels across the world have started recruiting again. Whilst previously they could cherry pick for the most desirable candidates, they now receive far less applications and compete with other hotels in the same destination advertising very similar roles. 

Many talented people have left hospitality and others would no longer consider applying for roles in an industry which has been extremely vulnerable in the last year. Sadly, the industry has gained an undesirable reputation, and as such, hotels need to explore new ways of attracting and retaining talent.
